Obsessed with old love. Not uncommon, but not healthy when you confuse it with romantic love.

Obsession creates a dangerous distraction in that we aren’t able to have an intimate connection with ourselves. It actually puts us under siege. It’s like you’re being invaded by something….something that masks reality.

Add the trauma survivor piece to an obsessive love interest and you’re headed for real emotional danger. Reality disappears. Your feelings aren’t real. They’re illusions.
