Umbrella parents took center stage as far back as the early 1980’s. Maybe before that, but that’s what I remember.

Believe it or not, there are parents who continue to ‘hover’ over their adult children. I’m guilty of it although I’ve intentionally decided to stop.

It’s not easy. Our muscle memory is pretty strong. But for ourselves and our adult children it’s a necessity.

Zachariel helps us shoulder through this.
