UCSF recently did a study on Childhood trauma and its lasting effects into old age.

It took into account being separated from parents, financial hardship, physical violence and abuse, and severe illness.

The most noticeable effects involved physical and cognitive issues.

The study also talked about a ‘roadmap’ for taking care of those impacted.
