Entry 361

Tickling. We think of it as a way to bring laughter.

According to researchers there are 2 types of tickling - knismesis and gargalesis. The first happens when you’re brushed by something. The second can only be triggered by someone else.

We can’t tickle ourselves.

That’s because our brain knows that we’re trying to tickle ourself, so it suppresses any response.

That means tickling does not prompt genuine laughter.

Where I’m going with this, Gabriel can show you.

“Gabriel, in light and love, please help me to know when tickling is a ‘safe’ activity and to set my boundaries if I do no t want to be tickled. I prefer genuine laughter. Thank you, Gabriel.”
