Don’t dismiss your bad feelings or anyone else’s. Those feelings are reality.
If someone or you does dismiss them your inner wisdom, your intuition, your gut will rebel. If you do it often enough it will lead to health issues.
As far as mental health, dismissing bad feelings leads to self-doubt, and some mental health professionals consider this abuse. This emotional invalidation can be considered manipulation. In order to heal from trauma and struggles you need to stop it immediately.
