Self-revelation comes about during grief.

People ask me “which do you prefer officiating - weddings or funerals?”

My response, “funerals.”

Weddings bring out the egos of everyone. Funerals bring out the souls of everyone.

It’s raw emotion. It’s real. It’s a time of self-revelation - taking stock of one’s life.

It’s a good thing.

Life assessment should be done more often than when grieving. It should be done anytime we have a ‘life’ change or in preparation of one.
